Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, covering 46 square miles in Buncombe including the areas of Asheville, Ashworth Creek, Brush Creek, Cane Creek, Double Creek Ranch, Flying Cloud, Gap Creek, Garren Creek, Heavens Ridge, Laurel Falls, Rocky Fork, Spring Mountain, Upper Brush Creek & Waterford Lakes.

Fairview Volunteer Fire Department, established in 1959 and chartered in 1961.

Fairview Volunteer Fire Department has mutual-aid agreements with Garren Creek Fire District and Broad River Fire District.
