Halsey-Shedd Rural Fire Protection District

Halsey-Shedd Rural Fire Protection District (HSRFPD), covering 110 square miles in Linn County (Oregon) including the areas of Halsey, Halsey Memorial Park, Kiger Island, Oakville, Peoria, Peoria Park, Shedd, Shedd Slough & Willamette River.

Halsey-Shedd Rural Fire Protection District was established in 1938 as the Halsey Fire Department. In 1952 the Halsey Fire Department merged with the Shedd Fire Department to combined the two districts into one rural fire protection district.

Halsey-Shedd Rural Fire Protection District also is known as the Halsey Shedd Fire District (HSFD) and Halsey Shedd Fire Department.
