Redmond Fire & Rescue

Redmond Fire & Rescue (RF&R), located in Deschutes County (Oregon) including the areas of Buckhorn, Canyon Trails, Cascade View Trailhead, Cline Falls, Deschutes River, Dry Canyon Park, Fairhaven City Park, Eagle Crest, Redmond, Redmond Municipal Airport, Smith Rock State Park, Terrebonne, Tetherow Butte, Tetherow Crossing Park & West Canyon Rim City Park.

Redmond Fire & Rescue was organized when the city of Redmond Fire Department which was originally formed in 1910—annexed the Deschutes County Rural Fire Protection District #1, which had been organized in 1939.

Redmond Fire & Rescue provides fire protection to approximately 123 square miles within the city limits of Redmond and portions of Deschutes County. The District also provides EMS transport to an Ambulance Service Area (ASA) of 294 square miles. 

Redmond Fire & Rescue has mutual-aid or auto-aid from the following departments: Alfalfa Fire District, Bend Fire & EMS, Black Butte Ranch Fire Department, Cloverdale Fire Protection District, Crook County Fire & Rescue, Crooked River Ranch Rural Fire Protection District, Jefferson County Rural Fire Protection District #1, Lake Chinook Fire Rescue, La Pine Rural Fire Protection District, Sister/Camp Sherman Fire District, Sunriver Fire Rescue & Warm Springs Fire & Safety.

Redmond Fire & Rescue is dispatched by the Deschutes County 911 Service District (DC911).
