Vernonia Rural Fire Protection District (VRFPD), established in 1891 and covering 36 square miles in Columbia County (Oregon) including the areas of Bear Creek, Cedar Ridge Park, Coon Creek, Corey Hill, Hawkins Park, Knickerson Creek, Lone Pine, Nehalem River, Nehalem River Park/Campground, Pebble Creek Mountain, Pittsburg, Rainbow River, Rock Creek, Vernonia & Vernonia Lake.

Vernonia Rural Fire Protection District is dispatched by the Columbia 9-1-1 Communications District (C911CD).
