Hurricane Valley Fire District

Hurricane Valley Fire District (HVFD), covering 563 square miles in Washington County (Utah) including the areas of Babylon Mills Recreation Area, Blacks Canyon, Copper Hills, Coral Canyon, Cottonwood Wash, Dixie Springs, Goosebury Mesa Recreation Trail, Grafton, Harrisburg Junction, Hurricane City, Hurricane Hill, Iron Bridge, Kolob Reservoir, LaVerkin, Leeds, Mayflower, Parunuweap Canyon, Pine Valley Oak Grove Recreational Area, Quail Creek State Park, Riverwood, Red Cliffs, Rockville, Sand Mountain Recreation Area, Springdale, Sunset View, Toquerville, Virgin, Warner Valley, Washington City, Washington County Regional Sports Park, Watchman, Zion – Mount Carmel & Zion National Park.

Hurricane Valley Fire District was formed on December 18th, 2007 and on July 1, 2010 with the Hurricane Volunteer Fire Department, LaVerkin City Fire Department, Leeds Area Fire & Rescue, Virgin Fire Department and Toquerville Fire Department joined the district. Rockville/Springdale Fire Protection District merged into the district in 2019.
