Seattle Fire Department (SFD) , founded in 1889 covering 84 square miles in King County (Washington State) including the cities, towns and areas of Alki, Beacon Hill, Ballard, Belltown, Bitter Lake, Capitol Hill, Columbia, Delridge, Dunlap, Fauntleroy, First Hill, Fishermen’s Terminal, Fremont, Georgetown, Greenlake, Greenwood, Harborview, Highland Park, High Point, Interbay, Lake City, Laurelhurst, Madrona, Magnolia, Mount Baker, Montlake, Pioneer Square, Queen Anne, Rainier Valley, Riverton Heights, Shorewood, Skyway, SoDo, Sunset Hill, University District & Wedgwood.

Seattle Fire Department originally started out as the Seattle Fire Department in 1884, and officially established in 1889.
