Cimarron Hills Trench Rescue
In the afternoon of June 25th, 2025 the Cimarron Hills Fire Department was dispatched to the 1200 block of Kachina Drive for possible trench collapse. On scene, crews discovered a worker trapped in the trench and requested mutual-aid from the Colorado Springs Fire Department’s Technical Rescue Team. Once additional resources arrived on scene, they began efforts to shore up the sides of the trench so they could safely rescue the victim. Once the victim was extricated and stabilized and transported to an area hospital for evaluation. Additional information provided by the Cimarron Hills Fire Department.
