
Colorado Springs East Platte Ave Storage Unit Fire
Colorado Springs Commercial Fire
At 17:16 on January 26th, 2025 the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center dispatched the Colorado Springs Fire Department to the 4400 block of E. Platte Ave. at Public Storage for a possible structure fire. While units were responding, dispatch advised they were receiving reports of smoke coming from a building inside the storage complex. While responding, Battalion Chief 2 observed smoke coming from the area of the complex and upgraded the incident to a working structure fire. After Truck 8 gained access to the storage units involved, Engine 8 was able to quickly knock down the fire. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, Division of the Fire Marshal.
