Colorado Springs Commercial Fire

In the afternoon of May 14th, 2025, the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center dispatched the Colorado Springs Fire Department to the 1200 block of W. Garden of the Gods Rd. for a possible structure fire. On scene, Engine 9 and Truck 9 observed smoke showing and upgraded the incident to a working hazardous materials fire due to the chemicals being used in the building. After further investigation, the fire was contained into a oven and chimney that is used to safely dispose of hazardous byproducts. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, Division of the Fire Marshal.
