Coats Donated To Children in Need

On February 11th, 2025 Denver Firefighters IAFF Local 858 went to two area schools to distribute coats to children in need. This is the second year that Firefighter Mike Knecht has helped run this initiative. Compared to last year where the project distributed 600 coats to children, this year IAFF Local 858 distributed a whopping 1,000 coats in total, completely shadowing last year’s totals. Mike said he hopes next year will do even better. With support from Teamsters Local 455 and Denver Councilwoman Stacie Gilmore this year’s project was an undeniable success.
