Hanover Train Engine Fire

On August 22nd, 2025 at 00:15 Hanover Fire Department and Fort Carson Fire & Emergency Services were dispatched to a train engine blocking a railroad crossing on Old Pueblo Rd. which had caught on fire. Crews quickly went to work, safely extinguishing the fire, clearing the crossing, and ensuring the engine was able to continue on its way without further incident.
