Pueblo West Residential Fire

On January 8th, 2025 in the afternoon Pueblo West Fire Department was dispatched to the 300 block of E. Stewart Drive on a reported residential structure fire. Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Communications Center received multiple 9-1-1 callers that reported smoke visible from a residential structure in the area. As crews responded and began to arrive in the area a large amount of smoke was seen several blocks away. As the first engine on scene began pulling a line, they reported flames were visible from the front door. Mutual aid was requested quickly from Pueblo County Sheriff Emergency Services Bureau (ESB) Fire Team to have them bring an extra Pueblo West apparatus from Station 3. High winds were blowing and fueling the fire but crews fought through them and were able to knock the fire down quickly and spent just over an hour overhauling the fire and bringing it under control.
