Calhan Outbuilding Fire

At approximately 12:10 on February 24th, 2026 the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center dispatched the Calhan Fire Protection District to the 29700 block of Washington Rd. in Calhan for reports of a structure fire. On scene, responding units discovered a shed fully involved with fire and began fire attack. Fire crews quickly extinguished the flames and overhauled the remains to ensure all hotspots were out.
