Colorado Springs 2nd Alarm Fire
On March 14th, 2026 at approximately 14:30 the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center dispatched the Colorado Springs Fire Department to a reported residential structure fire at the Union Heights Apartments, 4760 Nightingale Drive. A smoke plume could be seen near the intersection of Academy Blvd. and Union Ave. Firefighters arrived on scene and found heavy fire coming from the second and third floor of a multi-story apartment building. Crews were on scene about two hours extinguishing the fire, checking for extension and ventilating the building. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
