Police Unity Tour Spirit Night
The Douglas County Police Unity Tour held their community fundraiser Spirit Night to support the Police Unity Tour riders was held on March 10th, 2026, at the Chick-fil-A, 950 Cpl Max Donahue Lane in Highlands Ranch. A portion of the proceeds go towards supporting the riders of Team Colorado, to honor officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice and to support their families. The Police Unity Tour was formed in 1997, by Florham Park (NJ) Police Officer Patrick Montuore, who organized an 18-member bicycle ride from New Jersey to Washington, DC (250 miles), to raise public awareness about law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty. This ride took 3-4 days to complete. This organization now consists of 8 chapters, with more than 2500 riders and is sponsored by national businesses and organizations such as The New Jersey State P.B.A, Royal Albert’s Palace, Target and Quikteks Business Technology Solutions. Each member is required to raise a minimum of $2000, to join the annual ride which is typically held every May. Information provided by: Douglas County Sheriff Patrol Sargent Dave Beyer
