North Central Annual Picnic

On September 6th, 2026 the North Central Fire Protection District Auxiliary held their annual picnic and horseshoe tournament in the Park, at the Chaparral Park and Open Space, located at the intersections of Emerald Trail and Amethyst Rd. in Deer Trail. Lots of fun was had by all attendees, with a water slide, hula hoops, croquet, corn hole, tug-of-rope, face painting. The picnics main event, was a free horseshoe tournament, with a $100 prize and the holding rights to the custom trophy for one year. Attendees could also purchase a hotdog or a hamburger, chips and a soda for only $5.00. Plenty of sides and deserts were also available.
