On October 3rd, 2026 Church Ranch Veterinary Wellness Center and Front Range Veterinary Medical Reserve Corp (FRvMRC) co-hosted a first responder training centering on caring for animals during a disaster, Officers from Westminster Fire Department Animal Management, veterinarians, vet techs, volunteers, and local pet owners participate in a scenario of a wind-driven vegetation fire in southeast Westminster, focusing on evacuating pets from assisted living and other senior living facilities in the area. Front Range Veterinary Medical Reserve Corp is an all-volunteer group that assists during disasters all along the Front Range, helping to coordinate evacuations, sheltering, and medical care for animals large and small.
