Over the course of 24 hours starting on June 9th, 2026 the Westminster Fire Department replaced all of five of their medical units, the first time in the department history. The new units, which are all identical which are based on a 2025 Ford F-450 chassis with a Braun NW – North Star Type I 167″ Module. The new medic units were designed with patient care, patient comfort, and provider safety in mind. Having five standardized units will improve consistency in the operations, enhance efficiency, and support high-quality patient care. The new units will go to Stations 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 (Station 5 does not have a medic unit) and the current units, based on a Ford E-450 chassis, will go into reserve while two of the previous units will be donated for training and the others will be sent to auction.
