West Metro Crane Accident

On March 31st, 2009 around 11:45 West Metro Fire Rescue responded to a reported crane accident at 11600 W. 2nd Place in Lakewood. Crews arrived to the under construction site of the new St. Anthony Hospital with a crane that twisted and collapsed as it was lifting a vertical I-beam. One construction worker was injured but driven himself to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries. Additional information provided by West Metro Fire Rescue
