Boulder Dome Fire

On October 29th, 2010 fire crews were alerted of a wildland fire in the 40000 block of Boulder Canyon Dr. in the Dome Rock formation area. Crews arrived with fire spreading quickly to the north towards Boulder Canyon and Sunshine Canyon, started fire attack and requested a full response wildland response. Evacuations were requested from Boulder into the Four Mile Canyon. The fire burned 144 acres and no structures were lost. Investigators believe that the fire started at an illegal camp site frequently used by the homeless.
