Two Arvada House Fires

In the early morning hours of April 3rd, 2011 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to a reported residential structure fire in the 6500 block of Union St. in northwest Arvada. Crews arrived on scene and found heavy fire in one residence that had spread to the house next door. Firefighters spent several hours on scene extinguishing the fire and mopping up hot spots. Two firefighters suffered serious burns in the fire and were taken to a local hospital for treatment. None of the occupants of either home were injured. Investigators found the remains on bottle rockets in the street but are unsure if they are related.
