Arvada West 78th Place House Fire

On July 25, 2011 at 11:58 Arvada Fire Protection District responded to reports of a house fire in the 8880 block of W. 78th Place. When fire fighters arrived, they found fire and smoke coming from the single-family residence. The sole resident of the home and the owners dog had escaped the house on their own, but later the occupant was transported by Pridemark Paramedics to a local hospital for possible smoke inhalation. Firefighters got the fire under control within 15 minutes and declared out after approximately 30 minutes. Firefighters also had to fight the heat of the day during the fire.
