Commerce City East 73rd Ave Fire
Outbuilding Fires

At 15:11 on March 19th, 2013 South Adams County Fire Department was dispatched to a possible structure fire in the 7100 block of E. 73rd Ave. in Commerce City. A 911 caller reported flames showing. Engine 23 arrived with a working fire, 2 outbuildings fully involved with a residential exposure, and propane tanks venting. The exposure was quickly cooled and in aggressive defensive attack continued to both buildings to control quickly. Reports of people living in the outbuildings, but all searches provided negative. Extensive overhaul was needed. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation.
