Fort Collins House Fire

On March 29th, 2013 at 10:38 Poudre Fire Authority was alerted to a structure fire at 3506 Kingston Circle in Fort Collins. Engine 5 arrived to a split-level, single-family home with fire coming from the front windows, extending into the attic and spreading upstairs from the inside. Crews were able to attack the fire while searching the residence and cut a hole in the roof for ventilation, bringing the fire under control within 15 minutes.  There was heavy fire damage to the living room, dining and kitchen areas. The other areas of the residence suffered heat and smoke damage.  PFA Customer Assistance Response Team assisted the occupants with immediate shelter needs. PFA investigators determined the origin to be in the first floor living room; cause is still being investigated.
