At 05:57 on January 16th, 2013 Poudre Fire Authority was called to a fire at 155 E. Boardwalk Dr. in Fort Collins at the First National Bank Building. Engine 5 arrived to a four story commercial office building with heavy smoke coming from the electrical room located in the garage on the first floor. Firefighters could not immediately attack the fire due to the still energized electrical panels that were arcing. Fortunately the fire sprinkler system had activated and was extinguishing the fire along with keeping it from spreading. Fire damage was limited to the electrical room however smoke was found on all levels of the east wing. Crews remained on scene for at least two hours to assure there was no fire spread and clear the building of smoke. Additional information provided by Poudre Fire Authority.
