On November 15th, 2018 Doherty High School invited the Colorado Springs Fire Department to present a mock crash scene to it’s student body. Students from the school participated in the event about the dangers of texting and driving and was part of the Drive Smart program (Do the Right Thing). CSFD educated high school students during the event with firefighters extricating the victims, and treating their injuries in the school parking lot.
