At 17:21 on October 8th, 2018 Colorado Springs Fire Department dispatched Engine 20 and American Medical Response Medic 6 to a motor vehicle collision at Austin Bluffs Parkway and Dublin Blvd. Once en route to the incident, Engine 20’s officer requested a truck company or Rescue 17 to respond, after looking at the incident notes, stating that the MVC was a T-bone. Rescue 17 and Battalion Chief 4 were then dispatched. At 17:24 Engine 20 arrived and established Austin Bluffs Command, while reporting that the patient was stable and that Rescue 17 was needed to pop a driver side door, Rescue 17 and Medic 6 arrived at 17:31. The patient was then extricated at 17:36, Medic 6 assumed patient care and transported to an area hospital. At 17:39 companies began to return into service. The collision is currently under investigation by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
