Colorado Springs Structure Fire
At approximately 09:15 on July 22nd, 2018 Colorado Springs Fire Department dispatched Engine 8, Engine 11, Truck 8, Truck 10, and Battalion Chief 2 to a possible structure fire in the 800 block of Potter Dr. Dispatched reported to responding companies that the RP reported no parties were trapped inside the structure. Arriving on scene, Engine 8 reported smoke showing from the structure and called the incident a working structure fire, pulled a supply line, and established Potter Command. Fire Dispatch then toned out a Working Structure Fire Assignment, calling Truck 4, Haz-Mat 14, Squad 7, Battalion Chief 1, X-Ray 195, and X-Ray 197. Truck 8 and Battalion Chief 2 soon arrived on scene. Truck 8 was assigned to conduct the primary search and Battalion Chief 2 took over command from Engine 8. Engine 8 was then assigned to fire attack with Engine 11 that would soon arrive on scene. Squad 7 arrived took over rehab. Truck 10 was assigned to ventilation, Truck 4 was assigned as the RIT Group, and Haz-Mat 14 was assigned as Safety. The fire was reported out at 10:05. X-Ray 197 and X-Ray 195 arrived at 10:15 and took over the fire investigation. Companies began to be released at 10:25 and the fire is confirmed to be an arson.
