Cement Truck Rollover

At approximately 14:45 on August 27th, 2019 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched to Woodmen Rd and N. Powers Blvd. on the northbound on-ramp for a rollover. En route, Engine 15 was advised the vehicle rolled over was a cement truck and that PD was on scene reporting the patient was possible DOA. When Engine 15 arrived on scene, and reported the patient was not DOA and was trapped inside the cement truck. While Engine 15 tended to the patient a working trapped compliment was dispatched. While waiting for the trapped compliment Engine 15 pulled an attack line as a precaution. When the working trapped companies arrived, Engine 15 and AMR Medic 23 were assigned to Med Group, while Truck 19 and Rescue 17 were assigned to Rescue Group. After approximately 10 minutes with all companies on scene at 15:03, the patient was extricated and shortly after was transported to an area trauma center. Shortly after the scene was handed over to the CSPD for investigation.

Working Trapped Compliment: Battalion Chief 4, Truck 19. Rescue 17, 73 (PIO) & AMR Ops 700
