At approximately 09:45 on August 6th, 2019 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched to the Airport Rd. & Circle Dr. On scene, B Shift Engine 8 and Squad 8 arrived and report three vehicles involved with heavy damage and with at least one trapped party. Engine 8 established med group and command, while a working trapped compliment was dispatched. In addition, two AMR medics and the operations supervisor were dispatched to the incident. Truck 8 arrived on scene and was assigned to rescue group with Engine 8 to extricate the patient, and Squad 8 assisted with the med group. The patient was extricated, AMR transported a total of three patients to a local hospital. The collision is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
