Colorado Springs Kitchen Fire

At approximately 21:10 on July 18th, 2019 Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to the 2600 block of Main St. for a reported fire. Engine 9 arrived and reported light smoke showing and continued to investigate Engine 9 made entry to the kitchen area and reported a working oven fire and requested a working structure fire compliment. Engine 9 then pulled an attack line and Truck 9 started horizontal ventilation and to search the building. Engine 2 arrived and pulled a supply line for Engine 9, and Truck 1 arrived and assumed RIT. Engine 2 then stretched a backup line to the charlie side. At 21:20 the fire was called under control, and the working fire compliment was canceled. Once the secondary search was completed, Engine 2 and Truck 1 were released from the scene leaving Engine 9, Truck 9, Battalion 1, and 73 on scene. Theses units remained on scene until approximately 22:00.

American Medic Response: Medic 9

Working Structure Fire Compliment: Battalion 2 (Canceled), Rescue 17 (Canceled), Squad 8 (Reserve Squad) (Canceled), HazMat 14 (Canceled) & 73 (PIO)
