At Approximately 11:50 on July 12th, 2019 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched by the Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center to the 7700 block of Chancellor Dr. for an outside fire. When crews arrived in the area, they discovered the area was not actually at the address but actually behind the 4500 block of Ramblewood Dr. The first due company reported an area the size of 20 x 100 involved and that the fire was slow moving. Engine 15 and Brush 15 then requested a working brush fire assignment. Brush 15 and Engine 15 began to extinguish the flames awaiting the second and third due companies. Once Engine 19, Brush 19, and Battalion 3 arrived, Engine 21 and Brush 21 were canceled. Crews on scene created a perimeter around the fire and quickly extinguished the remaining flames. Crews remained on scene until approximately 13:30. The fire is under investigation with suspicion to be caused by illegal fireworks.

First Due: Engine 15 & Brush 15

Working Brush Fire Assignment: Battalion Chief 3, Engine 19, Brush 19, Engine 21 (Canceled) & Brush 21 (Canceled)
