Colorado Springs Rollover

At approximately 18:00 on January 12th, 2019 Colorado Springs Fire Department Engine 17 was dispatched by Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center to the intersection of S. Carefree Circle & New Center Point. On scene, Engine 17 reported a vehicle on its side blocking all westbound traffic. Dispatch then requested to fill out a working trapped rollover assignment. Engine 17 denied the assignment but did request Rescue 17 to respond to assist with getting the patient out of the vehicle. While en route, Rescue 17 was canceled, due to the patient being extricated. Patient care was then handed over to AMR Medic 8. The patient was later transported to a local hospital and the collision is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
