At approximately 19:05 on February 22nd, 2019 Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center dispatched Colorado Springs Fire Department Squad 8 and Engine 8 to the intersection of Winnepeg Dr. and South Circle Dr. for a motor vehicle collision. On scene Squad 8 reported there were two patients and requested an additional AMR unit to respond. Battalion 2 then attached themselves to the call and responded to the incident. Squad 8 then established Circle Command and moved all units to Command 6. On scene, Engine 8 assumed command and began patient care to the occupants of the white vehicle; while Squad 8 tended to the occupants of the silver vehicle. Once Battalion 2 arrived, Battalion 2 assumed command and the second AMR unit was canceled. At 19:33 Engine 8, Squad 8, Medic 76, and Battalion 2 returned into service. The incident is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
