Colorado Springs Apartment Fire

At approximately 04:15 on March 11th, 2019 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched by Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center to the 2400 block of Willow Tree Grove to a possible structure fire. Engine 8 arrived on scene, and reported audible alarms and smoke showing from the second floor. Engine 8 and Squad 8 pulled 1 ¾ attack line and Truck 8 assigned ventilation and primary search. Battalion 2 arrived and assumed Willow Tree Command from Engine 8. Engine 1 pulled a secondary line off of Engine 8 and pulled a supply from Engine 8. Truck 1 was assigned interim RIT. Engine 1 was then assigned to conduct the secondary searches of the fire floor. HazMat 6 assumed Safety and Accountability, and Rescue 17 arrived and assumed RIT from Truck 1. The fire was deemed under control at 04:40. Squad 8 was then reassigned to rehab, and units slowly began to b released at 04:51. Crews remained on scene until approximately 06:45.

American Medical Response: Medic 27

Working Structure Fire Assignment: Battalion 1, Rescue 17, HazMat 6, Brush 16, 73 (PIO/EMS Liaison), X-Ray 192 (Fire Investigator) & X-Ray 195 (Fire Investigator)
