Estes Valley Fire Protection District held their annual open house and pancake breakfast at Station 1 in Estes Park on October 6th, 2019. The community came out to enjoy pancakes, meet up with the firefighters and fire engine displays, Explorer Post 911 with the children’s obstacle course and the Boy Scout Troop 8 shared checklists for their emergency preparedness merit badge. The new Ladder 1 was on display, which is a 2019 Pierce Velocity 107′ Ascendant, replacing Ladder 6 & Squad 3. Firefighters demonstration rope, extrication demonstration, and cooking fire safety. Estes Park Police Department, Estes Park Health Paramedics and Larimer County Sheriff were also on hand.
