Around 13:15 on August 13th, 2019 Pueblo County Sheriff Emergency Services Bureau (ESB) Fire Team was dispatched to the west end of Lake Pueblo for a reported brush fire. Smoke was visible before crews could get on scene. Pueblo County Delta 15 advised once on scene that the fire was approximately 1/4 acre in size and creeping through grass and junipers. Crews arrived on scene and extinguished the fire quickly. Due to several juniper trees involved some saw work was completed and the crews cleared after a couple hours. The cause of the fire was determined to be from a lightning strike from the previous days storms. Additional story & information provided by Code 4 Photography.

Units on Scene: Delta 15, Brush 161, Brush 165, Tender 191 & Tender 192.
