Palmer Lake Fire Department held their annual open house on August 24th, 2019 at the fire station located on Valley Cresent St. and at the community baseball field. During the open house members from the community got the chance to tour the fire trucks, fire station, ambulance, medical helicopters from LifeLine and Flight for Life, and El Paso County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and Wildland Team. As well as spectate a live extrication demonstration and stop by and meet people from FEMA and the local CERT organization. For the little ones, firefighters set up a firefighting obstacle course, a fire extinguisher demonstration, and a table to try on turnout gear. Palmer Lake Police Department & American Medical Response also participated in the event.
