Pueblo Structure Fire

On August 13th, 2019 around 13:00 Pueblo Fire Department was dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 3400 block of Baltimore Ave. The caller reported a burning smell in her unit but no flames or smoke seen. Focused Response Unit 82 arrived on scene and had nothing showing and made entrance into the building to investigate. Crews began to use their TIC to check the walls and began to find some heat. Crews finally found the source of the heat on the Charlie side of the building near the electrical meter. Access was made into the wall and a smoldering fire was found. A cross lay was pulled from Engine 32 and it along with an extinguisher were used to extinguish the fire. Black Hills energy was requested to respond to check the meter and crews cleared a short time later.
