Cameron Peak Fire

The Cameron Peak Fire was reported on August 13th, 2020 by the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests near Cameron Pass and Chambers Lake in Larimer County. The fire has burned 208,663 acres as of October 26th, 2020 and is at 64% containment. The fire is the largest fire in Colorado history, passing the Pine Gulch Fire that has burned 139, 007 acres. The Rocky Mountain Type 1 Incident Management Team took command of the fire at 06:00 on October 14th, 2020. The fire is burning in heavy timber over rugged terrain.
