Colorado Springs Structure Fire

At Approximately 15:18 on March 29th, 2020 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched to the 2300 block of Collegiate Dr. in Station 10’s first due for a possible structure fire. Battalion 3 quickly stood down Battalion 4 and responded to the incident. Engine 6 arrived to a multi-story residence, reported smoke showing and requested the working fire compliment. Engine 6 performed a 360, while Engine 14 established a water supply to Engine 6. Engine 6 Officer requested a 1 3/4 attack line and a back-up line off of Engine 6. Truck 9 was assigned to vertical vent. Truck 19 was assigned to RIT on arrival and Truck 10 was assigned to the on-deck crew. Engine 6 was assigned to fire attack with Engine 14. Battalion 3 arrived and assumed command. Truck 9 reported in addition to vent was assigned primary search and it as found all clear. At 15:47 crews advised fire was knocked down. With crews out of the structure RIT was disbanded and Truck 19 was reassigned to perform a secondary search for the structure, and at 16:02, the fire was called under control per Engine 14 officer. The fire is currently under investigation by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, Division of the Fire Marshal.
