At 05:57 on May 2nd, 2020 Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center dispatched Colorado Springs Fire Department to a structure fire at 222 Iowa Ave. Engine 1 arrived to a fully involved one-story single-family structure. Crews got control of the fire quickly and started searching for hot spots. The home was an abandoned, no one was displaced and no reported injuries. The cause is under investigation.
