Colorado Springs RV Fire

At approximately 15:52 on January 15, 2020 Colorado Springs Fire Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Swope Ave. for a vehicle fire. Once en route, dispatch advised the RP reported an RV on fire and possibly a building on fire. Squad 8 arrived and reported light smoke coming from an RV and upgraded the call to a working structure fire. Truck 8 assumed command and Squad 8 was to advise on patients. Truck 1 assess exposures and Engine 6 was assigned quick attack with an 1 3/4’ line. Engine 7 was assigned water supply and Truck 8 crew was assigned RIC. The working assignment was canceled. Truck 1 advised command they were able to get a quick knock down with a can and that a primary was complete. Truck 1 was then assigned a secondary search. Command then requested the on duty investigator to respond. The fire ground channel was then released and companies began to pick up. The fire is currently under investigation.

Initial Response: Battalion 1, Engine 6, Engine 7, Truck 1, Truck 8 & Squad 8

Working Fire Assignment (Canceled): Rescue 17, Haz-Mat 14 & 73 (PIO/EMS Liaison)
