Colorado Springs Brush Fire

At approximately 13:58 on January 23rd, 2020 Colorado Springs Fire Department responded to the area of 2910 S. Academy Blvd. for a smoke investigation. Once dispatched, Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center advised that they were receiving multiple calls of a grass fire between the 2700 and 2900 blocks of S. Academy Blvd. Engine 11 then placed Brush 11 on the call to respond in tandem. Engine 11 arrived and reported the fire appeared to be a homeless campfire and advised they can handle with units on scene. Engine 11 and Brush 11 were able to quickly knock the fire and returned into service at 14:49. Additional information provided by Colorado Spring Fire Department
