Colorado Springs Structure Fire

At 08:50 on December 22nd, 2020 Colorado Springs Fire Department Engine 23 and AMR Medic 10 was dispatched to E Lake Blvd. and S. Union Blvd. for a burn patient. Once en route, dispatch advised that a homeless party had a fire and now the party and an abandoned restaurant was on fire. Dispatch then upgraded to a structure fire assignment and changed the address to the 600 block of S. Union Blvd. Once units arrived on scene they began to both treat the patient and work on extinguishing the fire inside the building. Once the fire was deemed under control HazMat 14 was canceled and the patient was transported to a local trauma center. The fire is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Fire Department, Division of the Fire Marshal.

Initial Assignment: Engine 23

Structure Fire Assignment: Battalion 1, Engine 8, Truck 1, Truck 4 & Truck 8

Working Fire Assignment: Battalion 4, HazMat 14, 73 (EMS Liaison/PIO),  X-Ray 195 (Fire Investigator) & X-Ray 197 (Fire Investigator)

American Medical Response: AMR Supervisor 700, Medic 10, Medic 20
