La Junta Outbuilding Fire

At approximately 21:19 on February 13th, 2020 La Junta Fire Department and Cheraw Rural Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Hwy. 266 & Rd. 29. Upon arrival crews found a shed/outbuilding fully engulfed. Quick attack knocked the fire down quickly. Fire was contained to the shed/outbuilding. Unfortunately three farm animals perished in the fire. The cause of the fire was accidental from a heat lamp. No other injuries were noted.
