Colorado Springs Commercial Fire

At 20:00 on May 31st, 2020 Colorado Springs Public Safety Communications Center dispatched Colorado Springs Fire Department to a commercial structure fire at the Walmart, 707 S. 8th St. On arrival units found that the building had been evacuated and nothing showing. Upon entry crews smelled smoke and suspected the fire was extinguished by automatic sprinklers and continued to search for the fire. Engine 3 discovered a small fire in a meat cooler had been extinguished by the sprinkler system. The fire is under investigation by the Colorado Springs Fire Department Division of the Fire Marshal.
