Highway 50 Accidents

Around 15:45 on February 3rd, 2020 Pueblo West Fire Department was dispatched to around 10+ accidents along Hwy. 50 & Purcell Blvd. Several of the accidents were rollovers and one required extrication tools to free the driver. Due to weather conditions a quick layer of ice formed on most roads. Pueblo West ran back to back to multiple wrecks. Pueblo County Sheriff Emergency Services Bureau (ESB) Fire Team was requested to staff trucks to help as well as additional units to back-fill the Pueblo West stations.
