Arvada 9/11 Remembrance

Arvada Fire Protection District held a 9/11 remembrance ceremony at Station 2 on September 11th, 2021 to remember and reflect upon the bravery and sacrifice made on on the 20th anniversary of September 11th, 2011 World Trade Center attacks. At remembrance ceremony, the bell was rang in observance of line of duty deaths, a moment of silence, and the flag was raised and then lowered to half staff for the 2,976 total victims from 9/11, including 2,510 civilians, 343 FDNY, 23 NYPD, 37 Port Authority members, 55 military members, 8 private ambulance workers, and many others that fought the battle that day to bravely help others and then perished years later from illnesses.
