Aurora Hotel Fire

On October 1st, 2021 at 12:23 Aurora Fire Rescue responded to a working commercial structure fire at the Radisson Hotel, 3155 S. Vaughn Way. Engine 11 arrived to a high-rise structure with evacuation. Engine 11 and Engine 4 went to the third floor to investigate while Engine 7 secured a water supply. Ladder 2 and Ladder 5 conducted a primary search on the third floor and that came back negative. At 12:42 a second alarm was requested due to the size of the building. Crews found fire on the 3rd floor and most of the fire was put out by sprinklers, and the 2nd alarm units were released. No injuries were reported and the fire cause is under investigation.
